So the only reason I can't do it is because they won't do it? Well screw them then, I'll sell the PDA and move to a more reasonable carrier. This is ridiculous.

There were some valid reasons before... Its not so black and white.

End of the day your choice (remember that postpaid options are still there)...

Perhaps an option is to sign up on a data only postpaid plan?

"Screw them" ?

They have never even offered this as a service, they have always offered their Prepaid service with the proviso that data is not available. On CDMA, this means 8 years now!
