freitasm: Could you please tell us why you need the diversion to the mobile phone?

Why only at certain times?

This is actually a good question, if you can tell us exactly why this number and if you actually need going to a mobile or pehaps another land line obviously call forwarding to a local number has no cost as it's free local calling, we probably have a number of options based on what you need to do

For example, you can divert to land lines or Mobile, your choice,
You also don't have to have a "Device online" or connected and just use the service as a virtual mapping to the number of your choice.

We will also have a number of advanced features coming shortly where you can do time of day switching to numbers, and call forwarding based on Whos Calling etc, so if you can give us a bit more of a overview we can see how we can best assit.

just to chuck in some thing for the business time plan!

If your mobile is on an applicable plan you can also get capped calls to Telecom mobiles and landlines from the mobile - i.e $1.00 for 60 mins from the mobile. Its called Busines time business

On Telecom's anytime flexi and business plan you can really make a lot of calls for very little by using this capped calling. Because the FLexi plan has banded rates, all you really need to do is make a 50+ min call to a Telecom number (costs $1.00
) and you are into the next band, i think it goes from $0.85 per min for the first 50 mins to around $.45 per min for the next 150 or so. So if you do the sums the Flexi plan i used right can save you a ton in calling and diversions. The landline to own mobile on account is $0.16 per minute and is capped at $0.50 for 60minutes so not bad there either.

So have a think about that, it works and can save you money on your mobile.

bbman, I think you've become confused somewhere - Telecom does not offer capped calls from mobiles to landlines (unless you've got Freedom - a product only available on a residential line). Check here to see the Telecom Business Time plans.

Actually bbman is correct, when you have an eligible business line with Telecom, and an eligible Mobile Plan (basically Flexi Business Anytime, Industry plans and associations plans up (tier 3), you get $1 caps (up to 1 hr) on outgoing calls from your Telecom Mobile to other Telecom Mobiles and Telecom landlines.

I was referring to the capped mobile to landline calls - I can't find a reference to it at all apart from the industry plans - if the OP is eligible for them is something else though.

nzbnw, check your PM's.

Edit:

You're right, I found them.

Yeah... would be useful to know why you need the divert in terms of what circumstances have changed, and the way in which you need to be able to receive calls.

If it's just that you used to be located in BH Bay, and are now located in West Akl but need to receive calls on a cell when you're out and about, you could:

a) customerlink/forward it to the W.A number, and then do whatever forwarding you like from there (sounds like this isn't such a good solution if you are getting long connect times from it being routed around the place)

b) Port it to VFX or similar and permanently forward it to the W.A number or to any other number using their built in forwarding service, only paying the monthly fee if it's to a landline in the same toll area

c) port it to VFX or similar and terminate it on an IP phone (a phone that connects via your net connection) or ATA (eg PAP2T, lets you use an ordinary phone to connect over the internet to VFX etc) and forward it to a cell based on a schedule when WxC release their new toolset soon.

d) Port all your landline numbers to VFX or similar and have them terminate at the same number on an IP phone/ATA and forward it (ie forward all calls for all numbers) as necessary (ie you'd have multiple virtual numbers ending up on the same line)

e) Port all your landline numbers to VFX or similar but have seperate terminating numbers and use a multi-line IP Phone/ATA or multiple phones/ATAs and forward as necessary (probably only really necessary if you want some outbound calls to show your         BH Bay caller ID, and others to show your W.A CID, but thats a bit convoluted).

When you say it's a virtual number, I assume you don't actually have BH bay location anymore, and you just want it to forward to your west auckland location or to a cellphone when you are out?

Correct me if I'm wrong, maverick, but I understand that with the new advanced tools you guys are bringing out it will be possible to have group alert, ie have multiple phones eg a cell and the ATA ring at the same time and you just answer whichever is more convenient? Could be useful for this situation.

Forwarding to a cell from VFX or other VoIP companies will still be more expensive (around 30c a min incl GST - check their websites) than the capped/team rates from VF/TNZ but be careful to check that those rates apply to forwarded calls first. Cheapest thing will be to forward to a landline, but if you really need it to divert to a cellphone then its going to cost. VoIP would give you the most flexibility and save you the hassle in the future if you need to move again.

Telecom has been offering the Business Time Business with mobile for some time. On a business time line with a mobile on an applicable plan billing on the same account you will recieve capped calls to Telecom landlines and mobiles $1.00 for 60 minutes as well as the landline caps and diversion cap.

Its a really good deal for small businesses.

Yes you are correct mushion22, we are also looking at a virtual number with all the options as well, no device needed you will not get the SIP account details but have all the options of the account, call forwards, Voicemail etc....more to follow on that one
