Thanks, good point, I have checked and the app has been recently updated. So, the fact that Norton reports "no malware detected" is encouraging, but I am still trying to remove the link from "current page" which in full is:

At present, this link isn't actually working and is not going to a website, but if there is any possibility that my phone data may be compromised, I will reformat the phone.

I have now managed to remove the scam link from "current page" of the home page after I removed all updates of the Samsung Internet Browser (using Google Play Store) and then re-updated to the latest version. I also used C Cleaner several times, so hopefully the problem won't recur, but if it does, a reset would probably be the best option. Thanks again for your help with this problem.
