The route of the traffic shouldn't matter.

this is an issue on TAB's end not categorizing the IP range correctly.

That screen will have had to been produced by TAB's servers.

Linux: Who told you TAB does no geo blocking?

Linux

I work at the TAB and have been advised that we do no geoblocking on our side.

i can almost catogorically tell you that thats not the case.

i can visit TAB.co.nz fine from my spark connection, which routes to australia
i can not visit TAB.co.nz from my spark connection when i have a VPN turned on and the end point in australia i see the image above
i can not visit TAB.co.nz from a telstra mobile connection while in australia, i see the image above
i can visit TAB.co.nz from a telstra mobile connection while in australia with a VPN turned on and the end point in NZ

tell me how that works? Australian connections from my experience can not visit TAB.co.nz

i dont believe the issue is with spark.

but feel free to keep ignoring the direct evidence.

My boss and he was advised that we don't do geoblocking so it appears that the incorrect information is doing the rounds.

The one thing I missed from working at ANZ - the knowledge base.

I've had mention passed along that this has happened with tab before. Back then they geoblocked any ip that didn't resolve to *.co.nz.

At which point I'm sitting here shocked at the floored logic.
I'm hoping the block isn't still that arcadic.
