No goodbye needed as you are still here, But thanks for helping the community and getting it done! I enjoyed doing it when I was around!

I am sure this is a loss to Spark, on the bright side at least @hio77 is slowly gonna fill the gap!

Simon held a pretty special place here, at spark he's on the Digital side of things.

He often dealt with tons of really complex fibre installations etc so was always a huge expert here!

I'm sure he will still be around gz, and spark will surely have him in mind!

Thanks everyone for your kind words and encouragement. I have enjoyed my 10 years at Spark immensely. The funny thing is, I returned from living overseas in 2008 and immediately took a job in the Telecom residential call centre "just until I find something else"..... I couldn't know back then just how much I would enjoy the company and the people who work here - a dedicated bunch who by and large always try to do right by our customers - despite the challenges along the way.

I have done a lot of growing in my time here - I am a bit older (and rounder LOL), a bit wiser, but more importantly I have a massive set of skills that I never thought I would gain. Getting my teeth stuck into complex broadband issues has been my bread and butter for over 8 years and I really have loved every minute of it. But it's time to get out of my comfort zone and try something new - even if the new will be substantially similar to what I do today, albeit from the other side of the fence.

It will be an interesting challenge in a few weeks when - overnight - my former colleagues will all become my customers lol

Congrats for breaking the golden handcuffs like a few of us around here have done.

10 Years is a great effort and I am sure you will run into a lot of familiar faces on that side of the fence. Enjoy the new role mate

quickymart: Congrats on the new role! What will you be doing at Chorus? Same thing as at Spark?

Every major RSP has their own Service Delivery Manager at Chorus who looks after them, and I'll be the new SDM for Spark. I'll be ensuring the end to end delivery of the customer experience to defined targets & service levels, whilst ensuring Spark is informed and in position to get the most out of their relationship with Chorus. No doubt I'll also be enlisted to help streamline any orders that, from time to time, may not go as planned, and ensuring that both Spark and Chorus adhere to the regulatory framework at all times.

There will be plenty of opportunities for interaction between Spark provisioning staff and myself, as I deliver new tools and training to help them carry out their work more effectively.

That's a pretty high level description, and I am sure there are a lot more ins and outs to the role, all of which I will find out very soon...
