I have no plans to change my 027 to another provider. It is my business # for incoming calls. I have not been buying mobile phones for the last 20 years as I have been in Telco all that time :-) And I do not need a smartphone as all online activity is via landline - working from home for the last 2 years.

Port your number to Vodafone / 2Degrees so you keep your 027 number and get a network that supports your device. Otherwise you'll need to buy a new phone.

Porting not an option in this case.

Just checked - as of 7/11/2018 1:10 Pm 2100 is not back on Spark in my area. Do we know what's happening and any ETA for it coming back?

Just checked - as of 7/11/2018 1:10 Pm 2100 is not back on Spark in my area. Do we know what's happening and any ETA for it coming back?

@RUKI I am sure this thread covers what is going on and the site is not faulty The 2100Mhz 3G is now been used for 2100Mhz 4G

You need a handset that supports 3G 850Mhz now!

As noted, your device is technically an unsupported model. it only had partial support.

It's a difficult and frustration situation i'm sure, one we as consumers do need to be mindful of with the it works so must be fine approch

is happening all around, i believe it's just auckland that's been heavily done right now.

Although is happening in other areas, 2100 is a bit of a unused thing in non dense areas anyway. thus gone unnoticed.

is part of SRAN work, about all i can say publicly though.

Bought yesterday Nokia 3310 3G Spark (aka TA-1036). Back to business but NOT quite, i.e.:

- Paired via Bluetooth with the car Headunit (ADAY0 CE4M01D) - Nokia 3310 Spark self disconnects after few seconds. Headunit does have AutoConnect settings ON and old Nokia C2 never had those problems with that headunit. All other phones were deleted from ADAYO and this new one paired - same issue. Tried to pair with handsfree bluant S3 - does not self-disconnect. Ideas?

- Can not transfer contacts from Nokia C2 to this Nokia 3310 Spark. Used Nokia Suite 3.8.54 Contacts easily uploaded onto Laptop, but 3310 (TA-1036) does not want to be found via USB (Device manager shows it as TA-1036 with no drivers found. Nokia official site does not have any drivers to download. Tried to pair Nokia Suite via Bluetooth - phone discovered, but connection can not be established. Ideas?

BT in the car is crucial. Contacts transfer should be trivial. I have spent way too much time already on that phone saga.

When I was with one big Telecom Mobile Dealer - I have been transferring contact details for my business clients on any make and model every week. Life did not become easier these days...

I wouldn't expect Nokia suite to work - the new phone is a Nokia in brand only and has nothing to do with the 10+ yr old "original" Nokia handsets that you had.

As for contacts issues this clearly an issue related to low end handsets. Anything modern phone running Android will store these in the cloud so they're synced. My recommendation for low end handsets without this functionality works be to stick to SIM based contacts.

Can't help with the Bluetooth, could easily be a head unit issue. Such things happen despite Bluetooth being a standard!

Quick look on the nokia site and I see the following - https://www.nokia.com/phones/en_nz/nokia-3310-3g

"Bluetooth® 2.1 for pairing with speakers and other phones"

My thoughts would be that phone is not designed to be used in the way you need it.

A Google search indicates an import contacts from Android over Bluetooth option.
