It's almost there, but I feel you'd need 3 users on it for it to be worthwhile.

I tossed up the Spark unlimited vs Skinny Direct unlimited vs Skinny $66/30GB vs Skinny Direct $65/25GB and ultimately went with SD $65/25GB in the end. It feels like if you're using <22GB then the rollover data + tethering included on Skinny makes more sense to me than any unlimited plan.

I really do wonder how big the market is for unlimited users and for plans such as this.

The number of people I see on the bus streaming music from YouTube instead of a music app such Spotify is large. It doesn't seem to go through their heads that YouTube streaming for music is a waste of bandwidth and data allowance - all those unwatched video frames...

I would prefer if Telcos would adopt accounts where if you have both fixed home broadband and mobile broadband with the one provider you get "one" broadband data allowance over home and mobile. So if you are say with Spark and on an unlimited Fibre plan your mobile data is deemed part of that and is truly unlimited in volume, speed and flexibility i.e tethering.

This is very likely not going to happen to unlimited plans (truly unlimited, no speed drops/tethering restrictions) for any telco, due to the restraints on available 4G bandwidth. And if you are on a plan with a data cap, there is no logic to installing UFB/xDSL/RBI (which would add around $50 for the Chorus/LFC charges) when you can tether all the data allocation from your mobile.

I'd consider myself a heavy user, I update apps on 4G without any care, stream videos for music, watch videos on facebook on data. Never use my friends or work WiFi. Sister is the same...
Yet to use up all my data.. Been on this plan for a year or two or three now..
