surfisup1000:

Sounds reasonable, but  I get this error loading piratebay.org when using the standard Spark fibre connection...

Error 522 Ray ID: 4b190c096cd43409 • 2019-03-03 05:00:59 UTC
Connection timed out

So, I have no idea why but  it seems like spark is somehow blocking piratebay.org.   I accept what you say, but there must be something causing this to be blocked.

Regardless, I can use the vpn so it doesn't really matter.

Spark is not blocking you, your issue is upstream with iver cloudflare or the Hosts piratebay use.

I appreciate it may be frustrating, and seems like it's a spark issue since you don't get it elsewhere, but your getting all the way to cloudflare.

That's well outside of sparks network.

I would recommend opening a support request with the relevant hosting companies to investigate further.

hio77: Loads fine over my spark connection right now...

I personally would advise against using the site anyway simply due to the volume of fake content out there.

Streaming options offer far less risk and is easily accessible these days.

But they cost money........ I'd be ok with what a couple here suggest, $20 per month for everything that exists... :-)

and the non streaming options  give 1080p and DD5.1, it makes viewing a lot more enjoyable

You might as well just email your browser history to the NSA and FBI.

Rather off topic, but it's a pretty well accepted fact that the FBI run the majority of the nodes thus have an high probability over being able to correlate your exit and entry.

On Orcon the Cloudflare error is a pretty regular feature, but it usually comes right after 1 or 2 refreshes. On difficult days I find I often have more success if I modify the the http address when doing searches rather than typing it into the search box. I don't know if that suggest TPB server overloading - perhaps the network guys can confirm.

Australia is apparently blocking torrents now, so perhaps traffic coming via Sydney could also be getting censored as well.

Can't access now either, also with Spark.

Seems like TPB is nearing its end, having lengthy outages all the time.

TPB isn't down, it is running just fine. Try using a vpn, and it will work OK.

But, if I understand correctly, one of sparks upstream providers is doing the blocking.  Beats me why, noone has really explained this.

Maybe I will get a VPN. But never though I actually needed one. What are some good cheap or free VPNs?

Discussing VPN is off topic in this thread.
