Try following the instructions on the Apple site. Maybe try the changing carrier instructions.

OP

Can you make and receive calls from the watch independent of the phone? This isn’t making much sense to me and I know the iOS / Apple Watch eco systems fairly well.

Can you post some screenshots of the so called “phantom esim”

I have an Apple Watch from Apple NZ and can confirm it does not just pick up the Spark network automatically because they are the only NZ carrier.

Some screenshots would be good of what you are seeing. If the watch does have a phantom active esim you should be able to call from it without being connected to your phone and that makes even less sense as you’d have a service from Spark (one number wearable) you have neither signed up for or are paying for.

I can't help but think it's because you've connected to your partner's account at one point (as stated in one of your earlier posts) somehow.

Hey I'll see what I can find out, & help with..

When you say you've tested it with your partners SIM (Spark Digital), did you have it connected via dual number and eSIM previously on your partners account?

Are you able to PM me some details of your number etc.

Also as discussed by previous posters, please post a screenshot.
