Regarding the Spark $39.99 Endless Data plan, I asked and was told it's no longer offered.
I'm really struggling to see the value of retaining all my stuff under Spark at the moment. There's simply better deals on almost everything.
grolschie: Are they hitting the self-destruct button? Or do they think many people are too ambivalent to change providers?
Self destruct button? no
As for changing providers I have been with Spark for a long time. The rate difference between providers is +/- a couple of cups of coffee per month. Spark has the best coverage and probably the most stable network. VF is just too hard and I wont go near 2Degrees.

Yup. We get good Spark coverage where we are, but terrible Vodafone coverage.

Your opinion of better coverage is debatable. A friend has recently switched from Skinny to kogan mobile using the vfone network and is a freight train driver. He says he has far superior coverage especially by rail.
He also made a recent trip to Ashburton by road from Picton with his son who is a Skinny customer he says vodafone coverage is far superior to spark.
Coverage is clearly going to vary depending on where you are in the country. In my experience both networks have their stronger areas and weaker areas, I'm not sure you could cleanly say coverage is markedly superior on either.
I've also found peak mobile data speeds higher on Vodafone but speeds more consistent on Spark in my usual stomping grounds, so make of that what you will.

Not at all. This is the playing out of their dual brand strategy if you ask me. Skinny can soak up the lower end customers, leaving them to focus the core Spark brand on higher ARPU customers, the premium end, corporates and customers who want landline/broadband/mobile on one bill.

Wow, I remember back in the day Spark use to offer good deals now but for the past 2 years they have done the opposite and losing customers everyday. Something needs to be done about it. They would rather lose loyal customers than offering good deals.
Bring back the good deals.
@Dochart Please provide evidence where SparkNZ is losing customers everyday? The figures I check show they have gained market share!

I would basically be defecting to Skinny if I move - 2x mobiles on unlimited plans and a broadband connection at a faster speed would save us roughly $45 a month. We could front a family Spotify connection and still come out ahead. Having everything on one bill is not worth $25.

Dochart: @Linux what website do you use to check their market share.
To answer your question, in the past Spark offered loyalty discounts up to $40 off per month with some customers so we ended up paying around $110 including homeline, Netflix and Lightbox for Fibre Max but since they got Unplan that’s when they stop the discounts so many of those loyal customers probably would of left since they lost the $40 discount and their were cheaper providers offering Fibre Max and that’s a big chunk of money for a lot of people.
@Dochart The Website is called ' Google '
