You guys should use an excellent service like MyRepublic. I do and I was completely oblivious to all this Spark / peering / blocking lark...

Not sure if serious, or being sarcastic...

2degrees, Voyager should do the trick.

Neither am I tbh. I know they have a bit of a reputation, but this does seem to be one thing they do better (go on, admit it)...

I was just curious because we usually read very few (if no) good reports, that's all. If you are happy, add to the list of options.

Each to their own I say, I am with Bigpipe for the 100/100 at the price point I want to pay, the lack of peering however does irk me, having my cloudflare (and subsequently GZ) traffic bounce of Sydney, Hong Kong, Osaka, wherever Spark decides to route it on any given day

Ditto. But if I really need to work around it, the VPN goes up and that usually sorts me out. Not that it happens often.

After a brief test I am now not sure the peering influences this - the source IP would still be New Zealand. I have blocked Japan on Geekzone and someone on a Spark connection still could access it.

I notice if I go to a ‘is it down website’ it shows it is down for everyone, not just me.

Slingshot or Orcon will also do the trick. :)

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

fearandloathing: I notice if I go to a ‘is it down website’ it shows it is down for everyone, not just me.

Was up for me via a proxy site. Even downloaded the program.

Maybe the hosting server itself is having some issues as well.
