What's Skinny like? I've been on the $39.95 plan with Spark for years, with free Spotify, but crappy data limit. Thinking of saving money and switching to Skinny and then just get Spotify Duo separately. I can't find anything on top ups (i.e. if you run out of minutes).

@Rugrat - that sounds really reasonable and Spark are appearing expensive.

Re Spotify, a number of the "cheaper" Spark plans will offer Spotify for half price so only a $7.50 saving so factor that in when looking at plan costs. There is also a Spotify Family plan which gives you 6 accounts for $22.50/month. Given you can add shares to some of their plans for $30/month I think the Family plan is a cheaper way of doing Spotify

Tethering is  OK on Skinny.

Data caps are fine. The fact Spark also only allow you to roll over 3.5gb still on their plans is rather annoying - and on their unlimited plans there is a block on tethering unless if you pay them extra.

 

I'm really happy with 2degrees - decent data caps, unlimited rollover (with no restriction on tethering - even with data clock enabled!), good coverage and better pricing than the other 2 providers.

I was with skinny and they are very good. $36 for unlimited data (4.5Gb high speed) as well as unlimited calls and texts to nz/Aussie. For $10 more you can get the $46 plan with 12 gig hi speed data. Reliable as well. Only thing 5G is only for Samsung

Kogan mobile updated their plans about a week ago. Streamlined to three plans instead of the previous four or five.
Decreased in price and increased in data, definitely worth a look.

10yr Skinny prepay customer here. 

My phone is used for both personal & business purposes, other than voicemail charges which are somewhat annoying I can't complain. 

I'm on the $26 Core plan that just rolled over this morning.  This is my balance after a $30 top up (clearly I'm not a high data user :P)

Tethering allowed however on unlimited plans after 4.5GB speed is reduced to 1 Mbps making tethering a bit pointless imho.
