friedCrumpet: Do people not read anymore? The add-ons are available on prepaid and postpaid - it says it in the press release.

"All Telecom Extras are available on postpaid or prepaid. Postpaid plans can be taken open term or for 12 or 24 months."

I think that this is the thing I most appreciate from Telecom, not locking me into a contract, and the thing which peeved me off the most with Vodafone - I wanted to sign up a new connection for a staff member, didn't need a phone, but I HAD to sign a minimum 12 month contract, even if I didn't WANT anything thing - extra minutes or a phone.

It's like a girl refusing to date you, unless you go on a minimum of 6 dates! So insecure...

yea i no lol but im 18 and most of my txts are organising partys or just to my girlfriend but i can easily get threw 2000 i did a few days ago for this month lol, i think ill wait before joining this network, on the upside gives me more time to save for a better phone :P

if you are doing 3000 txt you are better off on xt, 1500 txt to anyone for $18 so you have 2 sims thats 3000 txts to anyone for $36 compared to 3000 txts to telecom only for $110. How is that not better

Because there is a bug in the CDMA system that lets u send 4000 txts a month for $20 and for the sake of everyone who knows it i wont publicly show it just incase it gets fixed :D

That's that 600 txt plan.
they're missing the 2,000 txt for $10 plan (if you're txting telecom handsets only)

$12 may be the same overall value per dollar, but prepaid topups come in multiples of $10, so it'd be more inconvenient i would think.

Ah not true.

You top up $20 and you get $25 credit.

So $12 of credit for 600 text really equates to $9.50 of cash, which is CHEAPER than text 500 with 100 more texts.

Hi party boy- if most of you texts are to your g/f, then go on Vodafone and get BestMate for unlimited texting.

Telecom Favourites doesn't include texting.

But do remember on vodafone you have best mate and txt 2000 so if telecom dont bring it back out (i think they will) you could move to vodafone. But they will have to bring back as alot of their prepaid customers are young people and they are only on it for boost.

Going on Vodafone wont be to any advantage unless you are ONLY doing it for bestmates, or unless you plan on converting every single one of your contacts to vodafone users as well. When you think about the cost of a new handset for yourself and your girlfriend, prepaid sim packs etc, you may as well just stay on CDMA if it suits what you use it for now.

Ah k i stand corrected then. Even so many on boost txt won't be too happy about that being missing. Though obviously staying with CDMA is an option for several years.

Text Extras - Choose from bundles of 150, 600 or 1500 included texts to any New Zealand network. Additional texts are 20c each.

txt 150 $6, txt 600 $12, txt1500 $18
