So on the page above you are putting your number and the temporary PIN in and pushing "Log In" - then what happens?

You are using an XT connection? Not wifi or VF?

tried both...
with 3g (XT) comes up as error.. and contact admin for logs or something..

is this perhaps because i have not registered my number with telecom yet????

I haven't registered anything anywhere.

If you want, PM me your number and temporary password (if it hasn't expired, it is only valid for an hour) and I'll try here. I realise this is a trust issue and won't be offended if you decline :-)

scottjpalmer:

EDIT: I haven't made any calls but suspect they will be the same as for TXTs.

It only shows the last 12 lines though . . .

is that repeated entries for the same time for data?  reconnection attempts?

I suspect it was when my balance unexpectedly ran out (see other threads re calendar month bundle rollover) and I was changing APNs etc trying to get a reconnect.

scho047: and one further question... sorry for bombarding with loads of questions.....

can someone also kindly tell me the procedures with closure of accounts with vodafone following a successful number port to telecom??

i can still log into vodafone website to view my account details etc... am just concerned that they may carry on charging me as normal..... do i need to do somethign about it? or just wait and be patient...??

I too have ported back to Telecom/XT and note that my SIM still works in the Voda Cell for outbound calls and texts and shows my number as the source. I wonder how long it takes them to cancel the account? I am concerned that they may end up cancelling my number if I call but do want it to close soon so I know its completed. Anyone else ported and had their Vodafone account closed...what is the time frame?

yeah i was in that exact same scenario as you camtab...
but ive decided to take the punt and try my luck... i just called before they closed call centre tonight... and have told them of my situation... and knowing that i have fully working number with telecom.. ie using XT sim with my old voda number.. and made calls and texts and still getting them... so asked them if it was cancelled...
they were not aware of it.. or at least this lady was not... and so i explained and she have sent in for request to deactivate.. and what she has told me is that obviously i am calling from telecom sim with my number it has worked... and nothing to be worried about... FINGERS CROSSED!!!!
