freitasm: Nokia has some in the pipeline... If you go to the option on the Telecom HTC Touch Pro 2 you will see:

GSM (900+1800) + UMTS (900+2100)
GSM (1900+850) + UMTS (1900+850)
UMTS (2100+850)

Hmmm. It should work on Vodafone's 900MHz 3G too then. Should test this.

Interesting my Telecom purchased unit displays:

GSM (900+1800) + UMTS (900+2100)
GSM (1900+850) + UMTS (1900+850)
UMTS (2100+800)

Going into Phone Services / Network tab / manual it was able to detect Vodafone

Does it see Vodafone WCDMA though, or just GSM?

Most importantly, does it see Vodafone 900MHz 3G or Vodafone 2100MHz 3G, or both?

Actually a friend is coming over soon. She has a VF so I might ask to try her sim in my phone. Does it have to be specific type of VF sim to work 3G?

If the band is UMTS 900/2100, how can you which one it is picking up?

Just found this posting on XDA Developers.

Different phone, but same discussion.
It seems the phone settings screen is common to all variants, but whether they work or not depends on the hardware ie the radio chip installed.

As far as i know, the TMo TP2 is 3G 900/2100 and Quad band GSM, so will work fine on 2degrees and Voda's GSM network. It will work only on XT 2100 3G but should be fine on Voda's 2100 3G network, dependent if available in the area.

I bought a Telstra TP2 because it is the T7381 model and fully compatible with XT's 850/2100 3G network.

I have the same settings above in my phone (i think) havent checked lately though. Generic settings in the varying TP2 but still dependent on what particular radio versions are installed.

Might grab a Voda sim to see if I can get Voda 2100 3G.
