vinnieg: I just realised my partners name is on the account too :( although I'm designated as the secondary contact

Yes that should be fine

Would a credit card suffice?

Nope.

Ragnor:

Is it fair to call it "prepaid" when it expiries per calendar month.  Mobile voice and text credit doesn't work this way.  I'm sure many people will completely miss the "per calendar month part" and assume it works like prepaid credit for general mobile use.

Yes, because this is exactly how Telecom's prepaid system works. To clarify more, you pay the casual rate until you hit your 'cap', at which point, you get the remainder of your entitlement for free.

This is exactly the same with the text plans, and addons such as My Favourites.

Yes you can see here: http://www.telecom.co.nz/mobile/whatsnew/freetstick  that it is given as an option.

kobiak: So this product for $29.95 instead of $99.00, but will that offer also include SIM card? or should be purchased separately?

You do know that it's a use it or loose it prepay don't you?  The "prepay" expires at the end of each calender month so that's $29.95 per month regardless of whether you use it or not unlike normal prepay that expires after a  year.

They make it clear in the release, and this seems to be how other "add-ons" work.

Prepay in this context means "your voice calls are prepaid and have a one year expiry, anything else is prepaid and have a calendar month expiry".

This is very clear everywhere. Thanks for reminding people about it. But that's how it works and there's no hidden rules.

Thanks :)
Got the bill + a power bill and took it down before.

Going back down to pick it up in a few minutes, since the Tsticks had only just arrived via courier and were being entered into the system :)

Orb store on the Terrace that is, if anyone goes down, best to do it just after 9.30

Well as of 9.05am I was the second person to pick one up at the Takapuna retail store. They said they have 200 to give away at that store, and someone else came in to get one just as I was about to leave, so at that rate and being late night shopping I can't see their supply lasting much more than a day.

I just got mine from Willis St. store, Wellington. The queue is around 10.

You must use the credit that was preloaded this month else it disappears.

Interesting, as the media release states that it only starts being used from when you first use the t-stick.

That was my understanding as well. I've asked @TelecomNZ on Twitter to confirm.
