Yes. I believe 2degrees are using some 1800 spectrum.

No; 2degress only use 900Mhz and if they join 3g will be using same protocol as Vodafone as per OP.
And for the free strawberry the answer was Telecom does not have GSM on 850; or do I get a rasberry for that?
