I realise that. But still better than 30 days.

Note the "zones" - this is the broadband plan, so basically usable in Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington, Queenstown. Outside these areas you can get the $6/50MB packs until you go back.

90 day expiry though. TS wants it to last a year.

What irritates me is how people expect a large organisation to come up with a 'custom' plan just for them. If they do not currently offer it, do not bother.

Else they would have every Tom, Dick and Harry trying to bargain them.

I'm pretty sure he's not expecting anything. And to be fair, what he is asking for is what many people have asked for previously, and that is not having data you pay for expire so quickly.

Maybe him posting here and starting a discussion will prompt another provider to do something along these lines?

And the point of my post was if someone is asking for a good steak, don't recommend them mince.

And the point of my post is that the new Mobile Broadband plans from 2degrees were just announced last Tuesday, so if it's mince, the OP might not be aware of an alternative that could not be as good as 12 months, but is better than 30 days.

And also the precident that 2 degrees have set may be built upon by the other telcos to offer longer lasting data blocks.
