Hi again

I am getting a telecom repairman to come around and check out our jackpoints because i got asked by telecom if any of them had ADSL on them and none of them do so yea, also we have this problem where our internet access cuts out frequently and at random times. to fix it we have to unplug the splitter from the jackpoint and put it back in. I have no idea why it does this but it is a pain because last time i checked telecom said that broadband is an "always on" internet conncetion :) well im not getting it

So your modem is plugged into the splitter along with a phone? Have you tested it with just the ADSL and no splitter or phones or anything else? I am wondering if that splitter has issues, or perhaps the modem cable. Also, if you cant get ADSL on any other jackpoint, you may have a master filter so that phones can go on the other jackpoints without the splitter.

Time to find a new industry!
