nzpilot1181: Hi All

Am heading south next week which will take me along the Desert Road. Looking at the XT coverage map it appears that there is a large area of no coverage between Turangi and Waiouru. Is this an error or is there actually coverage along this stretch?

I think NealR has given you the best answer.  If he is proven wrong then I am sure you would be able to let him know.   Wink

nzpilot1181: Native 2degrees cov along desert road??!! Wow where would this b coming from?

They have a cell site on the Sky Tower that reaches Desert road

ROFL LMAO..

John should know that Vodafone have jiggery pokery in their network so if you have a 2D sim in a 2D phone and scan for networks then Vodafone shows up as 2D when you're roaming.

Those sky tower panels have some serious gain on them :)
