NonprayingMantis: technically credit does not expire.

*however*, if you don't topup for a period of time (I think 12 months, cant remember, might be 6 months) then your account is deemed inactive and so deactivated and so?any remaining?credit balance?dissapears along with it.

this is the same principle for Vodafone and 2Degrees.

But if you are still using data from time to time, it would still be 'actively being use' so I can't see why it would be considered inactive.

Vodafone is different, as they clearly state the expiry date of any credit in their online control panel.

If you need a mbbmeter password just pm me your mobile number, sim number and your preferred 6+ character password and i can sort that out.

billgates: Once you have an online account set up with Telecom, then on the ipad you can save a bookmark under safari for the following address.

http://sphone.telecom.co.nz/mobile/view/account-info-view

no need to log in with the above link. it displays your data usage, remaining data, plan details and you can even top up via the link using your credit card.

it's setup for a smartphone dize screen but looks and works fine on an ipad as well.

One thing you will also notice that if you go to:

http://sphone.telecom.co.nz/mobileonliness/

Instead you get a web based interface that auto-logs you in based on your current phone number and looks a lot nicer in a regular browser rather than the mobile view link above (not sure how it looks on an iPad, but looks good in my browser :).

If people need a password set for the site http://www.telecom.co.nz/mbbmeter (which redirects to the above link doing the auto login if you are direct on XT, and prompts for a login if you are anywhere else) then just PM me with your phone number, sim card number and preferred password.

The https://pwm.telecom.co.nz/mobileonliness/ site will give you the date your credit will expire on your iPad.. It's 12months from when you set up the sim if you haven't put any more credit on it.
Gives rather more info than the 3G only site mentioned earlier. Including when the data used was last updated.. In my case it was last updated 5 days ago. So much for an hour or two.

Data used total is the same on both sites.

Guys please can I make this very clear. Please ensure that your'e going to the correct links. The actual link to auto log you in for Your Telecom is http://m.telecom.co.nz/yourtelecom. Do not bookmark anything else. The reason why I say this is that the above URL will ALWAYS divert you to the correct application. If for any reason we need to change a URL or link behind the scenes we will divert m.telecom.co.nz/yourtelecom to the correct URL.

If you bookmark other URL's and we happen to change something behind the scenes you will either get a 404, the wrong app without all the updates or something else.
