oxnsox:Ragnor: Personally I think he's done a pretty good job on:
- Improving Telecom's overall image (Telecom rage/hate was much higher under Gatting).
- UFB negotiations.
- Facing up to the public during the XT issues.
+ 1
Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation
scuwp:And so he should have for the money he was being paid!

Profit was actually up 1.6% if you take out the cost of the earthquake and preparing for chorus de-merger, and in the middle of the worst recession since the great depression.
Haters gonna hate!
jonb: create shareholder value, anything else are nice to haves.

Being paid 51 times more than the average Telecom worker, I'd love to hear from Neil. I wonder if the guys designing, building and doing the face to face marketing of all the new networks, feel that they're only worth 1/51th of Paul?
NonprayingMantis: One could make the argument that when one of those other workers announces they are going to leave, the market doesn’t tend to wipe ~$300m off the market cap of Telecom within hours

freitasm: My bet is Chris Quin, Gen-i CEO...
ScottStevensNZ: I'll do it ... it can't be that hard...
