Yep talk about overwhelming. I picked Leomars due to NZTechFreak wanting someone to check it out. What rom do you use? also what modem do you use?

Still on stock ROM and modem. Only done the kernel to obtain root. Doing the homework to pick a ROM and modem at the moment.

I've been a bit slack. Work and kids keep getting in the way (my story, I'm sticking to it!) This week it happens though.

BigHammer: How does the phone identify that you're on a 900MHz site? Is it an app?

on the SGSII goto keypad type *#0011#

I take no responsibility for anyone mis-using this info and bricking their phone

Thanks heaps for this! It works on my GT-i9100, connected to the Vodafone Network.

Do you know of any other handy tips or short codes? Can you possibly PM to me?

Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread, my apologies.

Interesting, my stock modem on Telecom 9100T was KH1.. Most people say KG2 or KG3. I've tried most modems and even KI4 which was a battery killer for me so gone back to KH3.. seems to be the best so far.

nitrotech: The 9100T is still quad band UTMS - this is confirmed with mine running on vodafone and showing connected to a WCDMA900mhz site.

You need to keep the same modem version number as lots of people have reported that the T doesn't like the same modem as the international versions and results in poor 3G performance.

I'm keen to understand why is there even a T version when the phone is Quad Band WCDMA?

Most likely because it's been customized with Telecom bit's like the splash screen and 'Your Telecom" icons etc..
