I think we're talking about different roads here. She's actually in Inglewood and, IIRC, there's no Junction Rd nearby. She's on Upper Durham Road, not Drive.

Bummer... None of the network sites around Inglewood have EVDO, so your friend will be limited to 1XRTT speed (i.e. 153 kbps max).

1XRTT in my own personal experience has yielded speeds of 110 - 120 kbps average (both up and download), with reasonable (50% +) signal quality.

1xRTT is OK for surfing etc, better than dial up and GPRS. If you are just using the net for email then its not a bad solution

That's weird - which map did you look at? I looked at the Taranaki one and it seemed she's on the border between primary and secondary mobile data coverage, the two shades of green.

Did I read it completely wrong?



Sort of wrong. Green means CDMA 1x (up to 153kps), Yellow means CDMA 1xEVDO (upto 2Mbps).
