tallmaninthecnr: What am I missing here, there must be something. I live in central Auckland and just had Vodafone at the door with this deal:-
for $90
- 60Gb
-Landline rental cost
-ADSL 2+ MODEM
- switcher credit $150
currently with Telecom on Total Home Lite paying an extra $20 to give me 40GB = $103/mth, but when I look at Total Home I could be getting 60GB for $105/mth so how does that work - not even sure why I am not just paying the extra $2/mth or is there something I am missing between the two Telecom plans?
Then again why not just pay Vodafone and get 60GB for $90/mth??? it would not take to long to recover the extra $50 for the early termination. Up till now I have always resisted but this seems like a good deal.
Would appreciate someone pointing out the difference between the two Telecom plans and whats wrong with the Vodafone offer. (note we dont make Toll calls and calling other mobiles is not an issue)
I recently ditched Orcon for broadband and went with Telecom for my landline and ADSL2+ Internet. I pay $105 / month for the landline and 80GB of data. The package included 60GB, but they increased it to 80GB just to say "Thanks".
For my Telecom landline and 103GB of data from Orcon I had been paying a total of $186. Now I just pay $105. This saves me about $1000 / year.
...and Telecom's broadband is MUCH better than Orcon's was. I can actually watch YouTube videos at 1080p now without having to wait 2 mins for each 20 seconds of playing....as I did with Orcon.
