Telecom can be really good.

If you have problems like these you can just deal with Customer Resolution Specialist,
Operation Regulatory Group.

Last month I had a case where a customer had run up a $2,500 bill, cancelled all the services and were threatening to send the customer to a debt collector.

When I talked to Paul Brislen, he thought that Telecom would credit the entire balance. While the customer would have loved that, it really wasn't the appropriate thing to do. The customer needed to also take some ownership.

By the time I finished we had the bill down to just on $1000, the customer got to keep his phone and put it on pre-paid and has an arrangement in place to pay off his debt over the next year.

This was an outstanding result from Telecom.

Pressing the * button will give you the 'classic' IVR options instead of voice prompts.
