Ragnor: Since they haven't noticed this thread, try raising this problem on their Twitter account, there are some decent folks there that can probably kick the tyres and find out where things have broken down communications wise.

Yeah tried that - they were great in fact they were the only ones that were able to escalate anything and got me through to 'tier 3' unfortunately 'tier 3' never responded.

Just heard back again from Telecom, they said they have reset my connection to the exchange and it should be working fine. I had to access my router via a web broswer and manually re-connect - turning the modem off and of didn't do it.
Back on now anyway!

Still no info on what the problem was other than an outage at my exchange.
