plambrechtsen: Just a FYI

The case is now listed as resolved in the internal portal, so if people can please re-check to see if it's still a problem... And if it is I will re-escalate.

Cheers

Peter

Yep it certainly seems to have done the trick here, all working as good as gold again.

I have been experiencing the same problem and it appeared to have been resolved since Wednesday 19th August, however this morning (1st September ) it is back and just as bad as before, user name, password being rejected. Webmail is working fine and if I log on to web mail, then the windows live mail activates on computer and mail down loads. Very frustrating.

farcus: what exactly do Telecom do to their yahoo hosted email that screws it up so often?
I have had a Yahoo New Zealand email address (not Xtra ) for about thirteen years I think and have next to no problems at all that whole time.

On the surface they look to be the same product but I can't work out how Telecom can screw it up so often???

I ask again . . .

how can they continue to have problem after problem when the regular Yahoo mail is essentially continually faultless.

I hate to be a stick in the mud - but I've had this problem on and off for months... I just on-forward my mail now to gmail... Not confident that it will ever be resolved...

The last line is a bit of a concern for anyone using it for business. Although business users really should have a domain and their own email provider, and not use a free bundled service.

I just called XTRA help desk 0800 2255 598. They advised me to turn off the Push on IPad and get email manually with it to see if that will resolve the problem. We'll see.

When I talked to the Helpdesk back in May I thought it was just a problem with my PC. Spent ages trying to sort but just gave up in the end. I did have the iPad on as well as the PC the first night I had trouble. Push is off on the iPad.
