old3eyes: Where's the new and improved business plans?? 60Gig is ridiculousness compared to the home plans..!!!!!!!!

I've spoken with the product management folks on this one and there is work underway in that respect but I can't comment on any specifics as I don't know them and if I did I quite enjoy my job so couldn't share them :)  Let's have this conversation in a few weeks time about business plans and see how we go then eh?

Great news.  Thanx for that and do keeps us  updated as it will make some folks around here (at work)  happySmile

Well thanks to this foprum once again it brought to my attention the new plans which when compared to my current $119 250gb one I would be better off going to $99 150gb. I went on Telecom site and went to chnage my plan and to my frustrtion there was no option to do this only buy extra data.

i was thinking it may have been only for new customers so started plotting as to how I would seek vengeance of the horrid Telecom beast. Next day at work I thought I would confirm it hadn't changed, which it hadn't, when I noticed a chat function . I entered my details and literally within seconds I had a an acknowledgement and a polite request to wait for a moment whilst details were checked. Less than a minute I got a post back saying it was all changed and would be within next 24-48 hours.

Pretty happy with the way it was handled and simplicity of the whole thing so well done Telecom I am impressed.

Can I add that I asked via online chat about how my existing term contract would be affected by me switching to one of the new plans. Reeceived a prompt, clear answer. Job well done

NZ telco's need to stop dragging their feet and offer uncapped plans as standard.

Not until a not-so-small number of NZ Internet users think that gives them a right to download everything under the sun, and kill the experience for the rest.

As soon as customers start being happy with no INT connection then this is possible :P

Good on Telecom for finally coming to the party tho

I'm happy, just changed from Total Home Lite with the 40GB Add-on (@$99) to the $85 plan with 50GB.

As a bonus, I now get capped calls to both Aus and NZ landlines as well as all NZ mobiles (last month someone in the house decided to make a 1 hour call to a mobile.)

Odyssey: Would Telecom consider making a plan between 150GB ($99) to 500GB ($119) Like 250GB for $109?
There is a very large gap between the two plans and it would be competitive with Slingshot 250GB plan.

I'm not saying it will never happen, but the approach at this stage is that with less plans it's easier for customers, as opposed to having 20 plans with 80 bolt-ons where everyone just gets generally confused ^_^

We are currently on the Total Home Lite package and would be looking to change to the new $85 plan.  Our usage runs till October 21st can you tell me what would happen if we changed now, or should we wait till Oct 22nd - from what I see if we changed now we would end up paying both for the old plan and the new plan.

This is nice to see, but like others have said the jump from 150GB to 500GB is strange 250GB or 300GB needs to be in there as well.

But my previous experiences have put me off changing over to the 500GB. Every time I have changed plans with Telecom it was a nightmare, voice messages have been dropped, wrong plan, have been speed limited etc..... :-(

Also why can't you just request for your next cycle to be on a new plan? Has anyone ever successfully done this with Telecom? This is always a mess also.

Never had any problems with this.  Efficient service and faultless transfer ever time.  I have never done the change on-line however, always through the call centre.
