richms: Im just saying that my experiances are that an 027 loses signal around town a lot more then a vodafone, whereas when I was driving thru the middle of nowhere, frequantly my 021 would show signal but not actually work, whereas the telecom was showing minimal signal and worked fine.

Laughable. When I had the Geekzone moderators here in Wellington for a meetup I had the opportunity to show them how we were under a Vodafone mini cell site and still my mobile would show no signal and simply wouldn connect any call - both incoming or outgoing.
