Razven:
hio77: i recall there being a few issues with teamspeak and the orcon router.

ild suggest simply swapping out for another device since its simply an ADSL2+ device..

So...it's not something sneaky that ISPs to where they throttle your upload/download? That's a relief, I guess.

I would just swap out for another modem but I only have the one...

you could borrow a neighbours to test, or just buy a basic ex-Telecom one from Trademe for $20-30

e.g. http://www.trademe.co.nz/computers/networking-modems/modems/auction-716918238.htm

Came up with another minor issue, the Teamspeak problem was resolved by 'upgrading' my GeniusLite with Boblite firmware. (Boblite 1500) - slightly unorthodox, probably but at least it works.

I've been trying to post 'a popular imageboard' and it would seem that my IP has a ban on it but only 'some of the time'.

Most of the time, when I look up my IP, it's XXX.XX.XX.1, which prevents me from posting but occasionally, it pops over to XXX.XX.XX.2, which is absolutely fine.

I've Googled how do change my IP, doing the whole ipconfig /release, switching my modem off and stuff but none of that seems to get me a new IP. Is there something that can be done on the ISP side of things or not?

Yep, just request a public IP through our site and that should sort it.

We're aware of the issue with the 'popular image board' and need to do some technical stuff.

The issue you're having is because Bigpipe by default do CG-NAT to put multiple customers behind one 'public' IP (as IPv4 addresses are... scarce these days).

If you really need a public IP you can open a ticket and request one from them (was one of the first things I did after signing up.)
