Ouch....That's not what I wanted to hear. Ahh well, can't do anything about it other than to have another home brew beer and relax. Bring on July I say :-D

Update......so July was pretty much on the mark. Got a call yesterday from Chorus to say they have arranged for a technician to come round for the initial inspection on the 19th of July (today) and look at the installation options. As I'm he house owner there should not be any problems with consents or installation issues and they advised they may be able to do the install today otherwise install will be on the 1st August. Just need to be available at home from 1-5pm today. Fingers crossed there are no delays and they actually come round.

Great news! laughing I know you've been waiting for quite some time for an install. Sucks when the next UFB cabinet area to you is done but you have to wait months or longer for yours.

I know! Seems it's been more than 12 months since this thread started and only now is the end in sight. Phew

And........colour me not surprised at all. Did not get a call or anything and nobody turned up to my place to do the scoping. Called the Chorus team and they were "astounded" that I was not contacted. To their credit they did call me this morning to say they will arrange another time. When that will be though is anyones guess.

Massive update!!! Well progress at least. I have a termination point installed on the outside of my house. Whoop whoop. One step closer to faster internet. Now hopefully they will come in on Thursday as discussed to complete the internal wiring.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Averaging less than 10Mbps on a good day and significantly less on a bad day. It will be a real step up

Great news. All done and UFB was installed and working correctly. From first contact with Chorus to install and running took just under 2 weeks. Well done Chorus, I was expecting a much longer wait. Speedtest is averaging around 103Mbps, so a massive step up from 10Mbps I was getting previously. I'm one happy camper right here.

Now I need to figure out how to get my Netgear modem/router working with UFB.
