old3eyes:
andyb:Linux:Countries are added to the Roaming pack list when the wholesale rates between the local carrier(s) and Spark are low enough to make a roaming pack financially viable in that destination. At this point the rates in the Cook Islands aren't where they need to be. Correct, roaming data services are unavailable in the Cook Islands until further notice. roaming voice and text are still available. If you require data I would suggest using local Wi-Fi services. Regards Andrew Roaming Commericals - Spark NZallan:
What's with roaming packs (or lack of) to the Cook Islands? Going there in a couple of weeks.
Spark web site says: "Mobile Data currently unavailable. Spark is working closely with the local provider to restore data services as soon as possible." Was there some incident?
Guessing I would say data roaming agreement gone sour and they got chopped off
Or buy a local SIM but last time I was there they were expensive.
@old3eyes This is pointless if the customer is required to use NZ number!
Please see thread title it clearly states Roaming and that is not getting a local SIM card
