farcus:

Have had Skinny fibre since 2017 and have never had a price increase

Yes, I have Skinny on the brain at the moment, and was thinking of another ISP.

Wholesale rates from the LFC's have risen steadily over several years but very sharply in the last two years. Despite this, the retail cost of their services still haven't been increased, and they are even guaranteeing no price rises for the duration of the contract. How long can that last?

Skinny is currently promoting their cellular based services, which no doubt have much better margins for them than the fibre based services.

Right on cue: Skinny have raised their fibre broadband prices by $5/month from 1 August 2023, including all new and existing customers.
