I see that Telstra are planning to replace there CDMA EV-DO network with a W-CDMA HSDPA system. How will telecom customers get on roaming then? Fast Eddie and his telecom phone might be a bit stuffed?

taniwha, I'm reminded of that Telecom ad a few years (not sure exactly when) of the video-conference (a couple, wife was supposed to be in a meeting with the board) ad in a remote part of NZ. Perfect quality, no lag, no skipping.

There was talk after that about the location used in question not supporting ADSL at the time. Of course they could have used some other median...

Who knows.
