I have had my replacement 6255 for 3 weeks and its already as loose as my old one was. No amount of threats and pleading with the store manager here would get him to replace it with a different model. Tough bast*rd to crack i tell ya

I would suggest take it back and b*tch, moan and complain as loud and as long as you possibly can.

They no me to well there! I went there once and bought an LG phone... 3 Days into buying the screen fell faulty... Was pissed that they had to send it to repair and not just swap it out like what we do at our Vodafone shop. But let them send it away... Came back 2 weeks later with a faulty LCD STILL! So spoke to manager and we agreed she would swap it out if i pay the difference for the Nokia 6265... 7 days later i'm back in the shop as someone covered my 6265 in sand and it wouldnt slide... Away for repair she went....... 2 weeks later back with my 6265 i feel to embarased to take it back in now theres snow on the screen...

Funnist thing is she got it out the box to show me and a pixel was faulty on the LCD when I going to buy it.. They had one left in store so i thought fvck it.... I'm not going to let 1 pixel stop me so now i have a lovley wee black pixel on my screen now! :)

Oh i'm cursed with my Cell phones!

Good phone apart from a few things...
Easy to pocket call people
Not many room for text messages just over 100 which isn't much...
Being a slider screen is not protected so a free pocket with nothing in it is good
Camera / Video is TERRIBLE at night....
Video let me down compared to a Sharp 902....
Phone starts to run slow sometimes (Hard resets about twice a day)
Battery is a killer... Mine runs out about half a day so I carry to batterys!

Aside from them the phone is -
very stylish and is a wicked phone! May not have T3G Like the Sanyo 9000 but personaly I don't use my phone as a modem... Nor do I do the whole watching video clips on my mobile (prefer Video Calling myself thats fun!). The 6265 is a lot sexier than the Sanyo 9000 as well.

I would give the Nokia 6265 an 8 out 10... 10 being best!

My battery life is pretty good - Around 2 days with a fair bit of use.

Video isnt that great at night and the phone can be VERY slow sometimes I agree.

If its pocket calling, use the lock function... its easy to unlcok, just slide the thing open.

Mine loves to slide open in my pocket ;) often when i'm rubbing up to a beautiful woman... Damn Slider phones!

Arghh I'm having the same problems with my Nokia 6255.
I have contacted Telecom many times and always get passed onto other people. I'm sick of having to turn it back on endlessly but don't want to send it away to have them tell me there's nothing wrong with it. Help???

Sounds like you are having a problem unrelated to this thread. If your Nokia 6255 randomly turns off, you probably have the old firmware. You can get it updated for free by going to a Telecom dealer (the place you bought it from is best), and tell them whats happening, and specify that you want them to send it to Telegistics for the 'firmware update' that was released ages ago.

Make sure you get the latest firmware version, the other suffers MMS issues
