Dairyxox: Feilding is like an Internet black hole.
We've got a spark 4g connection just out of town (feilding) and it gets about 8Mbs.
Vodafone RBI at the same site was about 4Mbs.

My 2Degrees 4G in Feilding last time I tested was 104.85/45.47 :D

Regarding copper; previous place WAYYYYY down Makino Rd on RBI was like 12 ... and my current place closer to town on bigpipe was/is a very sold 15ish (could get VDSL but our driveway is like 300m long :P)

Guess I will get a refund on the skinny gear :/

moxpearl:

Had my modem for a few days now... really disappointing... speeds seem all over the place.

Started at around 35Mbit ... now we are stable around 4Mbit with a 60ms Ping..... sometimes can pop up to 40ish. Just no consistency. (Was on a rock solid Bigpipe connection before at 12Mbit)

We also live on a big hill in a small town with plenty of 4G signal (Feilding)

I found that I had to move my modem around to get the best results.

Initially I tried to have the Tivo, TV and HTPC connected via cables but found the spot that left the router was the least efficient, I found that having the router on the deck gave best results so it is now against that wall facing the wall and I seem to get good speeds there.

@livingskinny

Just got an email saying:

"We're just letting you know that your Broadband Plan renewed successfully on 03 Sep at 22:17. Your debit or credit card was charged $55."

Slightly confused as I'd upgraded to the $65/100gb plan just before you announced the $52/100gb plan this thread is about, but am now being reportedly charged the previous $55/60gb price?
FWIW the website dashboard says I'm on the $52/100Gb plan
Not that $55/100gb would be a problem for me , but as I'm not your only customer....

Thanks, we've investigated and you have found a defect in our notifications process.  A fix will be rolled out this week.
