@jonathan18 It is the same for my parents for example - they hardly use the landline and "should" ditch it but they still want it because the number they've got has been theirs for almost 30 years. I've just got it running off VoIP which works fine for them. Ditching the landline is not an option for some people - my Nana would kill me if I switched off her landline in favor for a mobile phone.

I still have nightmares from when I had to move my technophobic mother from a rotary dial phone to a touch-tone phone. I would hate to have to move her to a mobile!

My mother had a VCR for years. She refused to touch it because she was afraid she would 'break' it. So it remained unused. I'm not sure how she ever got it in the first place. Someone must have given it to her.

Sadly, similar story for my elderly parents (now deceased). Please, please, please don't let me get like that...

Just been chatting to Spark and the 20gb plan is not available.
60gb is smallest they have.
Also asked about leaving Spark, penalty fees etc and mum is out of contract so just needs to give 30 days notice.
Have removed national calling.

Haha, so the 20GB plans which are not advertised on their site are not actually real. I thought a provider might have actually come up with a decent plan for the elderly crowd out there who want to use e-mail and the odd WhatsApp but definitely do not need 150GB per month. Though $59.99 was still pretty expensive for a low usage plan to begin with.
