Northland, in a hilly part west of Langs Beach. I originally was with Net Speed, getting my broadband via an aerial with a sim card in my router. However, the nearest accessible tower is at Marsden Point, and is a Vodafone asset. Sadly over the last few years Vodafone have not invested in this tower, and there are many many more users since we first moved here. The result being that at Xmas and summer holiday time our speed drops to below 1Mbps, and even off peak I am lucky to get 3Mbps. So about a year ago I transferred to Spark and ADSL. At least now we get around 8Mbps, although the 1Mbps upload speed is a real pain. Vodafone has other towers in the vicinity (eg Mangawhai), but I can't get on to them due to the topography of the land around the house.
