In my opinion they totally do. As do NZMAGS (the NZ Music Action Group), and NZ On Air. My problem isn't with their charging / distribution model, or the fact they want to be like their big American cousins, it's more to do with they way the are set up to kill creativity!
Always looking for the next big thing ("Wow! A white Scribe!!!"), they research US College charts and try to find a band here willing to sound like a band from there... rather than just accepting the music that people want to play...
Also, RIANZ / NZMAGS / NZOA / APRA are all pretty much the same people, and from a generation that I don't relate to, yet they control the funding, the radio play, and force feed their antiquainted version of cool on me... no thanks grandpa!
Hey guys i got one of these phones the other day its orsum. Go download for free the Nokia Muiltimedia Converter and you can convert divx movies to watch on your phone!
But has anyone actually made there own ringtones yet?
Toys:  iphone 4s; PS3 good times.  13inch macbook pro.  ipad 3.  27inch imac.  airport express & time machine. raspberry-pi running xbmc and a gopro try hard.
How good is this phone? I have a k750 on loan and I've very impressed with it, it has a wealth of connectivity options which don't exist on the 5600, the phones are on somewhat of a level pegging though.
Unless fast data or push to talk is important to you I'd absolutely stick with the K750i, I've been using mine about a month and couldn't live without it. Having calendars and contacts synced via bluetooth and bluetooth remote control are great. The multimedia options are great, camera is great and overall it's a lot better than the Sanyo. It's the best phone out.
I think its orsum. The USB cable is good as for transfering large amounts of data such as mp3's movies etc etc. Its not really an organisers phone but more of a toy audio and visual phone..
if I just workout how to get the ringtones I made onto my phone it will be sweet as!

For the person who wanted the uploader, this link worked for me.

I followed the instructions for creating a ringtone (see the link in one of my posts above) and got an m4a file which I successfully uploaded using the uploader link above. I was then able to set that as the ringtone for the phone.
After a few days, I took it off, and reverted to Tone 1 - sigh!
A lot of what determines whether I buy a phone or not is it's aesthetics.
Nokias are ugly and too "business like", boring.
The sanyo 5600 is a sexy phone.
I couldn't care less about push to talk or it playing music, I am upgrading to one from the sanyo 7400 "loose rubber" phone because it looks perfect to me
