Yes a flashed ROM most certainly violates your warranty. If you present your phone for a warranty repair with the flashed ROM, you'll get the big KO. The warranty states that any unauthorised modification of the device voids the warranty. They wouldnt even make it chargeable as it will contain unsupported software and most likely give the phone back to you.

Unless of course, you flashed the original telecom ROM (which requires someone to do a clean dump of the ROM contents) or flash the WM6.5 upgrade and re SPL the original bootloader.

I was meaning more the physical phone itself, eg under the battery with the IMEI and other identifying numbers.

My TP2 has a flashed ROM so under identity it still shows T7373.

On my HTC TD2 it's on the black-background (CE etc) label above the IMEI grey-background label.

konfusd: @reekydesert Did you figure out which model you have? I found the model number for my TP2 in the 'Identity' tab of 'Device Information' in System settings (WM 6.5, not sure if this is the case on other roms). As Damager said, yours will be the 850/2100 model if it is a T7381 (or 900/2100 if it is a T7373).

The Telecom compatibility check didn't recognise my TP2's IMEI at all.

hiya, same thing here, telecom website can't recoganize my tp2's imei, wonder if it has the access to all imei database.
and my tp2 model number is T7373, so definitely a 900 phone...

yes was told the 23xxx series isn't the most stable version and i did experience some hiccups like things aren't displaying properly and stuff, but just like the look of it. oh the contact screen is different too, big button and display and all that, very thumb friendly.

will try to re-flash my Touch2 tonight for 23xxx series as well

Since you are Telecom employee why not ask the technical team internally or something?
Aren't they helpful?

You will not get 3G from XT since it doesn't support WCDMA 850 frequency.
And also you bought in China, I don't think it has International warranty anyway.

In conclusion, you are not totally screw but the phone is not fully utilise ......just get the Telecom HTC and you will be sorted :-)

All the customized Touch Pro2 WCDMA ROMs are based on the generic ROm which is the T7373, Hence the reason mine says T7373. Naturally an original network operator ROM will show the correct model.

I noticed mine says "RHOD110" and you mention RHOD100. That may be another way to differentiate the 7373 and the 7381 models.

Just confirming this: my TP2 7373 says RHOD100 (why didn't I notice this before?)
