Thats how I read it, it all depends what rate you were on when your current bill cycle for Pro started.

$2/GB should apply from today for all new customers, or those customers who change plans to Pro from today.

They also have a double your data for 6 months broadband offer if you sign up for 12 months that has just appeared on the broadband website as well.

That makes PRO 80 gig a month for 6 months ..

Caught on the other side of the see-saw at the moment, I switched to the Business Intermediate plan as the overage rates weren't ridiculous like the Pro plan ($4.01 per GB at the moment, $4.19 after Oct 1st) but had to sign up to the whole get another ADSL modem I don't want and $199 early disconnection fee farce. Great to see the usual double-data disloyalty bonus being offered.

Ouch, just when they dropped the pro plan down to $2 a gig for overages..
I suppose you can't switch for a month now either to get the double data deal and $2 overages.

I think you mean either 2c per MB  or $0.02 per MB

0.02c per MB = 20c per GB.

just got my letter telling me that BT is coming to an end.

I'm not a heavy user at all (12GB last month). I started on the Go Large and was put onto BT at a higher rate. Now they "suggest" that I pay an additional $20 for 40GB per month.Unless there is a company with a better offer out there it looks like I'm going to be paying for less yet again - the 20GB adventure plan is probably what i will go onto.

Is there any realisitic competition out there or is it all a much of a muchness for someone who uses more than 1GB and 3GB and alot less than pro

I'm pretty sure that the default response Telecom are giving people are move to Pro yourself otherwise we'll put you on adventure regardless of usage.

What a joke, regardless of the double data offer for new signups Telecom needs to move out of the dark ages with 40gb being the largest cap on offer.

It's either $0.02 or 2c; $0.02c doesn't make sense as the two units are completely different.

I see they've put the t&c onlinefor the double data now as well, they've made a point of saying it's for new connections only and you can't get it if you have had a telecom broadband for 30 days before that, it's a pity they didn't offer it to us to change from bigtime, after all we didn't ask to change, they are forcing it upon us to change, o was quite happy on bigtime.
