NZHarrier: Hey Ben when I had a look at the button control and it had already defaulted to Voice Dial for press and Recording press & hold.... it is really good, I use a metal case for my Apache with out the clip as I it carry it in my pocket, so press the record button and bing go speak and it dials perfect, now I wish it would work over bluetooth.... maybe in another life.

hrmmm... worked via bluetooth out of the box for me

My thanks also for this Jama.  Sounds as though it will be worthwhile.

However.....  I haven't used ftp for years but managed to download a client and find the file fairly easily.  It appeared to download OK but the script finished with the following:

[17:03:14] 44211693 bytes transferred. (179 KB/s) (00:04:01)

[17:03:14] An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine.

[17:03:14] Server closed connection

[17:03:14] Transfer failed.

My question is, is this the full file (44211693 bytes) and has it just closed on completion, or have I had a failure and therefore have to try again??  I have opened it in winzip and the two files show up OK, but didn't want to run the .exe without checking with those more expert than me (just about everyone!) first.  Any help appreciated.  Thanks.
Tony

Exact same thing happened to me Tony, but the update was totally fine.
You will generally find that zip files won't unzip at all if they are corrupted.

On Winzip you can select the files and then click on the Actions menu and select Test. It will tell you if the files are ok or not.

Thanks for the responses guys - didn't know about that winzip tip Mauricio.  Tried the test option and it came out fine so will try the update soon.  Thanks again.  Laughing

Hi There,

Just want to know if any experienced problems after the upgrade, as I experienced few and not sure whats the problem with my phone.
Firstly :I want to thank you with sharing this upgrade with us.

Problems Im having..

If I turn off my phone and try to turn it on next morning.. The phone wont start. Reset button and then I find out that the battery is drained and needs recharging.. and my phone goes to flight mode...etc.

This is the only problem im having at the moment.
PS. WIFI, BLUETOOTH ..etc. are turned off.. so there is no reason for it battery to go flat with lessthan 12 hours while its turned off.

If you know any Information that might help me, please let me know .

Cheers

Do you have a miniSD card on this Apache?

I had this kind of problem before, and after the upgrade. It seems that there's a problem with the miniSD driver, or something related, and if there's a card inserted when the device goes to sleep, or a program running then it won't come up when you press the On/Off button.

In the same problem, my guess is that the device wake up for an alarm or for its routine maintenance and is stuck, unable to process anything - even the timer to power down as configured in the Power applet. And then it drains the battery.

Not sure when/if this will be fixed. The ball is with the distributor or manufacturer.

Hi,

Thanks mate, This is whats happening with me at the moment.. I never had this problem before the upgrade.. What I did this morning.. I removed the MiniSD card and Flashed the device again.. I will test it again ad see if im going to have the same problem again..

Or maybe some of the software im using, might be the problem with this upgrade.. as I usually install them on the MiniSD card..

SBP TIME
SBP Pocket Plus

etc.

Maybe next upgrade will come out soon.. as I've been looking on other sites and noticed that, some mentioned that there is newer upgrade than this one .. cant remember the site .. but they were talking about Sprint Version of Apache..

cheer
