Well no changes for me as I'm quite happy with the $16 roll over plan.

I'd like to see additional international calling options given the current situation - it isn't always easy to call relatives abroad using internet services like Hangouts/Duo etc at this time.

Yes these new plans are a big let down, and step backwards in my opinion (removing rollover data) for myself and others.
....

Our household is now looking at moving all SIM's to 2degrees - fingers crossed 2degrees don't introduce this silly 'endless data' and get rid of rollover data too.

Same here, will probably move three connections to 2degrees now. I'll have my fingers crossed as well...

ssamjh: I just saw this. Meaning we can't use rollover data we already have on the new endless plans.

Which makes their BYO Number bonus data and referral bonus data useless.

I feel like for sure this is going to be revised. Stopping rollover data being used on the new plans is crazy. To make use of my 50GB rollover data, I will literally have to pay Skinny less than I used to. *facepalm*

IMO if you have 50GB of rollover data you are on the wrong plan.

Same here.  Since I've been on lockdown I've switched to the $9   but will go back to $16 when we get to Level 2

I was on the $66 plan, but then downgraded to the old $46 plan after realising I didn't need the whole 30GB.

That change worked, as I was sitting roughly around 50-40GB depending on the time of the month. I just had a nice buffer left over.

Also being at home has meant that my mobile data has barely been used this month also adding to the rollover data I had.

antonknee: I find it interesting neither Spark or Skinny specify the reduced speed for endless data after you use your included max speed data. They mention the practical effect ie degraded video, slower loading but don’t actually put a number on it.

I suppose it’s safe to assume it’s around 1.2Mbps like Vodafone is, but would be nice if this was upfront IMO.

That's because if you say 1.25mbit, It's confusing for customers. whereas if you say you can still stream SD video it's more indicative about what your able to do while limited.

Call it marketing, but there is a very real benefit to starting a experience rather than a hard number. People get too stuck on numbers...

Oh for sure. Being totally transparent about what practical difference people can expect is the right way to go about it, and a consumer friendly approach that’s easy to understand. I just like to know the actual numbers myself 🤷🏻‍♂️

2degrees does 2 hours of free data a day as well last time I looked. I can see Skinny losing customers with people on higher plans or that plan swap.

I’n on the $16 plan but if Skinny is tightening up wonder if this is the end of Christmas deals as well. Looks like bean counters looking at ways to make more money.

I would have switched had 2 Degrees had decent coverage where I live. It’s atrocious.

wifi calling on 2 degrees.

Since Skinny endless data plan costs $36 do you reckon 2degrees will beat it by offering it for a lower price? 2degrees seem to be the ones who offer the best value.
