Mines rolled back onto build 15 too.
Tbh - I've had very few issues on the previous build with two Smart Mesh (which have remained on 1.00.08) on wireless backhaul and have been pretty happy.
Something must have been causing issues and we are unlikely to find out through regular channels.

Is the Spark Smart Modem to be superceded by the MikroTik CCR2004?
Gordy
My first ever AM radio network connection was with a 1MHz AM crystal(OA91) radio receiver.
I've been rolled back to build 15 too. Touch wood still no stability issues since the very early days.

+1 for the roll-back to v6.00.15 build05, boot code 1.0.38-161.189. In my case, this happened about 20 hours ago.
I noticed that my SmartMesh devices (all still on V1.00.08) all show a virtually identical uptime of 24 hours, so something happened to them about a day ago as well (and no, there wasn't a power cut :-)).
Today my system ( 1 Smart modem and 2 wired Smart Meshes) have been dropping the connections for multiple devices and not allowing them to reconnect. I can only assume it has something to do with the rollback of the firmware yesterday. My system has been rock solid since the firmware went up to v6.00.16, and this is what it used to do with v6.00.15.
Very frustrating! I have put my old Edgerouter ER-X back into service, and switched off DHCP and NAT on the Smart modem and am just running them as wired APs now. Stability has returned but max speed has dropped slightly as the ER-X cannot quite route gigabit.
My old HG659 has stopped working (i.e., doesn't power on). What is Spark's take on providing replacement modems? I assume it won't be free? At which point I may as well get a non Spark router/modem?

My experience suggests Spark will throw in a new modem for free if you sign up with them for another 12 months.
It has been a frustrating experience again for me also since the firmware rollbacked to V15. My Smart Modem is now restarting almost every day now.
V16 was pretty stable. My modem did not restart for almost 2 months at one point.
Multiple further reboots of my V15 firmware device led me to call Spark again, who again agreed to replace the modem (second time in 2 weeks). Not sure it will make any difference and the hassle of having to reconfigure a factory default router to my requirements is a pain in the a**e. Plugged the new modem in. It immediately downgraded its firmware back from V16 to V15.
Working from home approx. 50% of the time and spending hours on Teams calls is becoming really challenging with this router behaviour. I hope someone from Spark is either monitoring this forum or is tracking the number of calls to the Spark helpdesk for this issue. It's really not acceptable

May be this is what my current issue is .. devices keep dropping.. its never been that flash but has been better since I added a wired smart mesh to the smart router. I have a ~30 devices.
Really frustrating, I'm starting to consider going Ubiquiti Flex HD which is a decent investment, I'd need 2 units ($360 each) + cloudkey ($130) + PoE switch potentially.
I want to stick with smart mesh but its getting more and more unusable with device drops
