I'm pretty sure something will be coming soon.

Currently running two value packs together as it was the cheapest way for more net.
Cancelled the original one since they are staggered, and will do the same on 31st oct (because i'm after more data for november.

I've just ditched my 10 year old plan in favour of a couple of these $19 pre pay deals. Paid $40 which left a $2 credit. After a day of use my $2 credit is gone & now I can't access my voicemail. Do I need to pay extra for this? I expected it to come off my minutes... Is this how prepay works, it's new to me.

From what I know voicemail is charged separately.

Thanks, looks like I'd better change my voicemail greeting to say not to bother leaving a message then.

In T-World you can just switch off the voicemail diverts and no one will be able to leave you a message if that's what you'd like?

Yes (I know) and yes you can. That is what I have set up. It is called 'My Favourites'. From memory, text the number you want to F A V E. It is charged per minute each month until you hit the $6 cap. The best thing is if you don't use it that month it costs nothing and if you use less than $6 worth of minutes that's all it costs. Much better than VF's 'Best Mates' which is $6/mnth whether you use it or not IMHO.

so it won't use up your minutes first? (coz there aren't many mins on the $19 pack)

No, that's exactly why I did it. When I first set it up I was perplexed as to why my pre-pay balance was going down when I called the number, in my case my home landline, but it stopped at $6. My minutes balance in the $19 pack was unchanged. Note the favourites is not tied to the $19 pack at all and is charged per calendar month.

Edit: grammar

I don't find it very interesting, mind you I haven't seen it in such a long time since I don't watch broadcast TV.

I'm planning on changing my wife's phone from contract to this prepay pack - can it be done with a call to Telecom or should we port to another provider and port back to Telecom?
