100percentMac:
Thanks, that's what I meant sorry, seeing as legitimate messages marked as spam are only accesible via webmail and since most Mac users only use the bundled Safari web browser, they cannot access their legitimate messages, now in the spam folder/mailbox!

One picture says one thousand words - Safari, Xtra, and webmail:

Nice one Telecom  - NOT

This has been such a great expereince - NOT

A week into it, and I can say that the new service is an improvement - NOT

I'm now getting significantly more spam in my inbox (68 messages in the past two days)

The filter usued by Yahoo is obviously not as good as that previously used by Xtra

And there is no auto delete on what does end up in the "bulk mail" folder

Time to go looking for a another ISP  I think

You beat me to it. Always pays to find out those answers before reaching premature conclusions on them.

Of course, some people just like to troll.

You don't need to look for another ISP. E-mail is one thing that's not tied to ISPs - you can have your own domain, or you can use Google Gmail, Windows Live Mail, even Yahoo! (but if you don't like Xtra's...). You can also use our own Geekzonemail. But certainly e-mail, like hosting is not something you are tied up to your ISP.

I think GEOMAX is being optimistic in thinking that SpamGuard false positives have reduced to zero. I wouldn't trust it until all your contacts have managed to arrive in the Inbox.

Unfortunately in my case it probably does...

I use the webmail interface to check my mail during the day

And then a POP3 connection to actually download any real messages to home over dial-up

You can use Gmail webmail during the day and download via POP3. You can use Windows Live during the day and download to Outlook through its Connector or Windows Live Mail client. The same for Geekzonemail.
