I'm looking at the HTPC Show and Tell Thread. When I click on page 3 I get the warning below from Chrome

 

Danger: Malware Ahead!

 

Google Chrome has blocked access to this page on www.geekzone.co.nz.

 

Content from jas0r.com, a known malware distributor, has been inserted into this web page. Visiting this page now is very likely to infect your computer with malware.

Thanks for letting us know. The reply in question was just an image, nothing bad - Chrome raised the flag on the domain hosting that image which was used to host malware before.

I will notify the user.

Yep. Google sees every single page people visit via Chrome. Don't need the NSA.

And the BS security stuff keeps getting turned back on when it does its silent updates. IE is the most honest one of the lot for opting out of being spyed on, Firefox at least doesnt revert it to being back on again with updates.

Er, no.  Chrome downloads a rather large blacklist database when it's running - same as Firefox does.  The history of what sites you visit is only sent if you turn on the Sync features.
