(I checked the first couple of pages of this forum first)

Downvotes, just like the upvotes...

For a serious reason, there are a lot of times when I read something that I think is wrong, stupid or I don't agree with but I don't want to start a flame war or get into a discussion where there's clearly no chance of the other party seeing my point of view.

It irks me that the upvotes are there for when I agree and want to show support. I think there should be a downvote so there can be a simple, non confrontational way to gauge if a post is generally disagreed with.
