One of the benefits for Geekzone subscribers have is the ability to hide all ads in the entire site. If you have an active subscription and are seeing ads regardless of your User Profile settings, don't worry - this will go away soon.

We are moving Geekzone to the new Google Ad Manager platform and this required some code changes across the site.

The ability to hide ads will be restored after all this migration is done.

Is there the ability to subscribe in NZ dollars?

Hmmm. No, not yet. The account is held in NZ dollars with PayPal but we also receive some other payments in US dollars. so it's a bit of a configuration change I need to do.

But for US$5/month (or US$50/year) you get the ability to hide all ads - that will be back when when we finish migrating them all to Google Ad Manager...

This should now be sorted out for our subscribers who should not be seeing the ads if they uncheck the appropriate box in their profile page.
